- About Me
- I am an experienced psychotherapist, counsellor, coach and mentor and have over 30 years experience within the field of listening and supporting others. I have had my own private practice since 2001. I am affiliated with the Sherwood Psychotherapy Institute, Nottingham, UK where I trained. I provide a professional and confidential service without the need of a G.P or occupational health referral, in a very safe, private and separate consulting room based in Mickleover, Derby. I work with adults, couples, groups and with children and young people. I also have extensive experience in professional environments, educational and community settings and over 26 years of experience in the emergency services #999PTSD. My areas of interest are encompassing the body/ somatic resonance within therapy. Developmental trauma, personality traits and unconscious processes. My current interests are cancer/ breast cancer/ end of life. Suffering child bereavement. Autism, particularly in girls and women. I have a long history of working along side psychotherapy/ counselling students and offer discounts for those in current training.
