About Me

Hi, I’m Claire, an experienced Psychotherapist, offering a confidential service in Leicester and the surrounding areas. I am a qualified psychotherapist as well as a qualified Social Worker, with many years of experience helping people to manage emotional distress and personal difficulties. I work with adults and young people who are looking to engage in therapy to understand and work through presenting issues in their lives which are causing them upset or distress in themselves, or within their relationships. As a Relational Developmental Psychotherapist, I aim to establish a therapeutic relationship, where together, we can come to understand why you may think, feel and behave in certain ways. This opens up the possibility to explore how to heal from past experiences and move forward in life in the way you would like. My model of psychotherapy is based on relational, developmental and trauma informed theories. In addition, I have trained in EMDR and creative psychotherapeutic approaches

I offer a safe, compassionate space to explore different life experiences and difficulties, including anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. I have experience supporting individuals who have lived through physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, as well as those navigating the lasting impact of childhood trauma or care-experienced backgrounds. I also work with issues around gender and sexual identity, and support neurodivergent individuals in understanding and embracing their unique ways of being. My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, helping you make sense of your experiences and move toward greater stability, self-understanding, and wellbeing
