With only days remaining before our Research Showcase on Saturday, the final four presenters have been confirmed.

  • Karen Adler, a final-year student on the MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at SPTI, will be exploring intergenerational trauma in greater detail, in particular with respect to trauma carried by the psychotherapist that derives from enslavement of Africans, and the Holocaust.

  • Kim Evans, a Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapist, and Mental Health Consultant, will introduce her research ‘Black Minds Matter’, looking specifically at African and Afro-Caribbean clients and their experience of interracial therapy.

  • Jude Perry, a Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapist, will explore the findings from her MSc research into Pre-Therapy practitioners’ experiences of working with clients experiencing psychotic processes, specifically the role of unconditional positive regard in this work.

  • Richard Shaw, a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist, will introduce you to the subject of the OCD bully, and how far the bully is friend as well as foe.
